The arrest of 23 people by federal, state, and local law enforcement in a multi-county South Georgia narcotics drug bust was announced in Brunswick on Wednesday.

Law enforcement said all drug dealers were heavily armed and these men and women were working in neighborhoods with families and children.

Law enforcement officials in Glynn and McIntosh Counties, along with the U.S. Marshals Service, the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Department of Justice, seized 5 kilograms of cocaine, over 30 pounds of marijuana, crack cocaine, and over $60,000 in cash and 41 firearms which included some tactical-style rifles.

According to the U.S. Attorney General’s Office, all charged with indictments will receive no less than ten years on conspiracy charges and up to life in prison.

In addition to the 23 people in custody, police continue to search for Eric Hall, 45, from Brunswick.
