DNR Law Enforcement Specialty License Plate

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced the pre-sale of a specialty license plate to support Conservation Law Enforcement.

The cost for the new license plate for the initial purchase is $80.00 ($25 Manufacturing fee, $35 Special License Plate Fee, $20 Registration\Fee*) + ad valorem tax if applicable.
In subsequent years the plate will cost you $55.00 ($35 Special License Plate Renewal Fee, $20 Registration Fee*) + ad valorem tax if applicable.

The fees for the new license are divided up as follows. Of the $25 Manufacturing Fee $24.00 is deposited into the general fund and $1.00 is paid to the local county tag agent. The Manufacturing Fee is and one-time fee and is only paid on the initial purchase of the plate. $13.00 of the $35 Special License Plate Fee is deposited into the general fund and $22.00 is dedicated directly to the Georgia DNR Law Enforcement Division. The Special License Plate Fee is only paid on the initial purchase of the plate. Renewing the license plate will cost you $35.00,  of which $13.00 is deposited into the general fund and $22.00 is dedicated to the Georgia DNR Law Enforcement Division. The Special License Plate Renewal Fee is paid each year upon renewal of the plate.

The license plate will be available for trailers such as flatbeds, enclosed and boat trailer. It will not be available for motorcycles/scooters.
