Popular conservatives, and stalwart supporters of President Donald Trump, Diamond and Silk, plan to testify before the House Judiciary Committee next week concerning the censoring of conservatives on social media platforms like Facebook.
The House Judiciary Committee announced the following:
On Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing to examine social media filtering and policing practices. This hearing will focus on what metrics social media platforms use to moderate content, how filtering decisions are made, and whether viewpoints have been silenced on some of the most popular and widely used platforms.
Diamond and Silk will be part of a panel that will include News Media Alliance CEO David Chavern and the Legal Director of the Electronic Frontier Foundation Corynne McSherry.
Lynnette “Diamond” Hardaway and Rochelle “Silk” Richardson were considered by Facebook to be “unsafe for the community” and claim that their videos were being censored. Diamond and Silk contend that Facebook did not respond to their request to correct the social media giant’s censoring actions.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg apologized for “an enforcement error” in a Congressional hearing; however, reports and emails show that Facebook tried multiple times to reach out to the fervent Trump supporters.
